Bevrijdingsfestival Drenthe

8-track
De uit Assen afkomstige HipHop formatie 8-Track, bestaand uit MProud, ChillahBeeh en BenGBangtBeats, is hard bezig zichzelf definitief te plaatsen op de hiphop kaart van Nederland. Na het debuutalbum ‘Onderweg’, wat ze begin 2009 hebben uitgebracht, begon het balletje te rollen voor 8-Track. Zo heeft 8-Track een jaar lang een eigen HipHop-feest genaamd ‘BoomBap’ georganiseerd in Assen. Lees verder.

Barry
Barry uit Casablanca Marokko brengt fusion, reggae, gnaoua en een vleugje hiphop. De dertigjarige Barry groeide op in Casablanca, in Haj Mohamedi, de beroemde wijk die al langer de broedplaats was van vele grote Marokkaanse artiesten en nog steeds een inspiratiebron is voor Barry. Lees verder.

Mooi Wark
Sinds de hit-singles “IDIOOT”, “BOKKIE OF EEN GEITTIE“, “IN DE BLOTE KONT”, “ACHTER DE TENT”, “TEPELS LIEGEN NIET” en “GOEIE BEEN, VERKEERDE BED” heeft de in 1992 opgerichte Drentse rock & roll band Mooi Wark een groot deel van Nederland veroverd en inmiddels landelijke bekendheid verworven. Pro-stitute
Op 17 jarige leeftijd ben ik begonnen met draaien, dit was destijds met hardstyle (en met vinyl). Na een tijd begon ik mijn interesse hierin te verliezen en heb ik mijn platenspelers en platen verkocht. Hiervan heb ik CD spelers en een nieuwe mixer gekocht. Vanaf dit punt ben ik mij volledig gaan focussen op het draaien van mijn huidige stijl! Lees verder.

RockBeest
Gitarist/zanger Jaap en bassist Dick hadden al eerder met elkaar in een band gezeten – maar dat was alweer een kwart eeuw geleden. Hun instrumenten hingen sindsdien aan de spreekwoordelijke wilgen – het was tijd geworden voor huisje boompje beestje… Lees verder.

Soulchain
Alle muzikanten van Soulchain hebben eigenlijk allemaal een eigen band maar omdat het qua muziek, enthousiasme en humor ontzettend goed klikte is besloten om het niet bij deze ene sessie te laten. Om de zoveel tijd komt de band in verschillende bezetting bij elkaar om te repeteren of te spelen en dit is voor zowel het publiek als de band altijd weer een feest. Lees verder.

The Hype
The Hype is een jonge, door de muziek uit de jaren 60 beïnvloede popgroep uit Haarlem, die liedjes schrijft in de geest van John en Paul. Met hun energieke liveshows won het vijftal de afgelopen jaren niet alleen verschillende prijzen als de Rob Acda Award en de InHolland Popprijs, ook bombardeerde 3FM ze tot Serious Talent waardoor ze in de lente van 2011 met de Serious Talent Tour door het land trekken. The 3rd Man
De uit Belgie afkomstige singer songwriter Jo de Roeck  heeft een nieuwe band geformeerd met drummer Guzz Genser (Herman Brood/ Yellow Pearl) en Barend Courbois (Vengeance). Maar Jo is ook niet een onbekende in het vak. Naast zijn USA tour met the Cult is hij als studiomuzikant gevraagd voor diverse gitarenklussen. Een daarvan is dat Jo het Di-rect nummer Rollercoaster heeft ingespeeld. Lees verder.

Vato Gonzalez & MC Tjen
Vato Gonzalez & MC Tjen the first DJ & MC combination in the Netherlands who combined the energy of all forms of house music with the fast uplifting rhymes from UK Garage. The inventors of the Dirty House brand record label, events, mixtapes, bootlegs and publishing. Even thought they have been busy producing, spinning and MCing for a decade their breaktrough was in 2007 with the first Dirty House Mixtape. From that moment on they created a complete new niche in the current dance industry, build on their own backs and independent in all ways.
